Between the Dreaming & The Coming True

hold me jesus...

this song is beautiful and gloriously depicts my soul's struggle as of late. i am so desperate for my Jesus right now and am finding that i pour out completely so easily these days. i am constantly in need of refilling and peaceful times of renewal. i pray that today holds great romance for you and the lover of your soul. seek hard after Him. you will find treasures greater than you can hope for.

Time Takes Its Toll On Us

Have I become a soul so numb
All too familiar
Words of gold have all grown cold
Over and over

I need to see you in the sunrise

Time takes its toll on us
And it tries its best just to steal our love
And we bend and we break but we don’t give up
Time takes its toll on us

From the start you touched my heart
And turned it in to something more
Beautiful, you’re beautiful
So why does it have to be so hard

To see you in the sunrise

Time takes, time takes away
Love remains, love remains

what was said to the rose to make it unfold was said to me here in my chest.....

     hey, hey. hows the week goin? hopefully you're not too far into the Christmas break mode to still be doing schooly-type stuff. i know its been hard for me to stay motivated...luckily im at college so i have more time to do stuff- less "in-class time". yea! you gotta appreciate the beauty of college life...its truly magnificent. i had my last Lab Practical (basically, a big test in A & P Lab) today, so the classes for this semester are officially over! yes!!
        thursday is "Dead Day" here on campus- we essentially have the day off to study but its the day of every semester when there are lots of parties and random fun things going on...ill be sleeping in, going to a work christmas party at noon, and that night im going to some Jazz Club in downtown Knoxville with some friends- really exciting. then, i have 2 exams friday, and saturday evening im going to go get pizza & see The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe with the Honors group:)  very stoked. sunday is church at True Life, then at the Griffiths for small group- its our  Christmas party that night! i'll study sunday afternoon & i have nothing monday, so that will be a big study day. 2 exams tuesday, 1 wednesday and then that afternoon my mama & ashleigh will be here to take me home!!! it will be a long break- i'll be home the 15th through the the 8th:) im looking forward to it.
        okay, i just got back from FCA- its my Prayer & Praise here, its incredibly filling and uplifting- and i am really fired up. i have been really working on my pride and humility lately. i have been so motivated to be a living sacrifice and a pure vessel for carrying Christ's love. guys, He's so awesome! here are some of the things that really hit me tonight:

 >>how can we waste the very breath and life God's so gracefully paid for? how can we just live a normal life when we know the heart of a passionate living GOD?? how can we not spill over with His message- how can we hold it in and be so selfish   after we say we love Him with all our hearts and have given our lives to Him??
   >>when we go through struggles in our spiritual life- when rain is pouring down on us- and we want to turn back, we must know what God sees...He treasures the times when we are unsure and broken & crying out to Him in that thunderstorm. those times are the times when He is whispering to us: "Don't be scared. Daddy's got you. I know the way home, and I love you."  He sees those experiences as some of the most intimate and lovely times with us because then, He was able to hold us so close and whisper His love to our open hearts.
   { "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all."  Isaiah 7:9 }

sorry this is so long- thanks for reading it! i guess i just started pouring out my heart;) i love you & am praying for you. let Jesus live through you today.

baby, it's cold outside.....

........Psalm 20........

May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
       may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

 May he send you help from the sanctuary
       and grant you support from Zion.

May he remember all your sacrifices
       and accept your burnt offerings.

May he give you the desire of your heart
       and make all your plans succeed.

We will shout for joy when you are victorious
       and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
       May the LORD grant all your requests.

Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;
       he answers him from his holy heaven
       with the saving power of his right hand.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
       but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

They are brought to their knees and fall,
       but we rise up and stand firm.

O LORD, save the king!
       Answer us when we call!

that, my friend, is my prayer for you. stay connected to our God during this season. keep Him as the first love of your heart and desire of your every day...i love you!

im at college...

      hey hey! okay, no one probably reads this thing anymore, but if you do, hey! ummm, so i just was home from college for the first time. for 5 days. i can't wait until christmas break ( which is 2 & 1/2 weeks away!) so i can see everyone...and actually do stuff with everyone. i really enjoyed being home. it was definitely weird and different, but i love it in ohio- i really miss being in beautiful Granville with everyone all the time. wow.
     school's been great and i really like going in Tennessee...i love being here. if you need a college to go to...come to Carson-Newman! :)  you can at least come visit here... God's been growing & changing me in huge ways since school started. i've been so blessed by everything he's done for me. i have struggled being away from my friends and with matt being in SC, but God's been nearer to me and i've loved him more through this time. i've taken road trips, gone to some great shows in Knoxville, made amazing new friends to encourage me while i'm away from you guys, lead worship here, and missed coffee houses like none other;) it's been good for me.
     well, i have to work in a little while and i wanna catch a nap first if i can. i love you and will hope to see you when i'm home in a few weeks! <><abi
